Meagan Leah Barrilleaux

Meagan Leah Barrilleaux graced this world with her presence on September 22, 1990, filling it with laughter, joy, and an unwavering zest for life. Her infectious spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion that continues to shine brightly.

Meagan possessed a remarkable ability to bring happiness to those around her. She found joy in dancing, laughing, and spreading kindness wherever she went. Meagan's generous spirit extended far beyond her infectious laughter and cheerful demeanor. When she obtained her driver's license, her curiosity led her to inquire about organ donation. Upon learning about the opportunity to help those in need, Meagan selflessly became an organ donor. Her decision reflected her desire to make a positive impact on the world.

When Meagan unfortunately passed away on April 11, 2007, her selfless act of being an organ donor would go on to save the lives of multiple individuals, offering hope and a second chance to those in desperate need.

With the support of LOPA, Meagan's legacy of generosity and kindness lives on. LOPA’s guidance and patience throughout the organ donation process provided comfort and solace during her family’s time of grief. Meagan's courageous decision to become an organ donor allowed her to save the lives of not one, but several individuals, including two special recipients who have become dear to the hearts of her family.

To Meagan's family, organ donation represents the opportunity to transform tragedy into hope. Though their loss is immeasurable and the pain of her absence profound, we find solace in knowing that Meagan's legacy lives on through the lives she saved. The knowledge that her heart beats on in another's chest brings them immeasurable comfort and a profound sense of pride.

“Meagan's spirit of selflessness and compassion will forever inspire us to embrace life with open hearts and to cherish each moment with those we hold dear. While we mourn her absence, we take comfort in knowing that her legacy of love and generosity will continue to touch lives for generations to come.”
