Mason Anthony Kiley

Remembering Mason
Mason Anthony Kiley was a remarkable young boy whose love for Jesus shone brightly in every aspect of his life. From a young age, Mason built a strong relationship with the Lord and was deeply involved in his church community. Whether participating in youth group, leading Bible lessons for younger children, or sharing his faith with classmates, teammates, and friends, Mason's devotion to God was unwavering.

Mason's deep faith was evident even in his final moments. After his accident, amidst the fear and pain, Mason asked his parents to pray over him — a reflection of his strong belief in God's presence and comfort.

Second only to his love for God was Mason's passion for football. He knew the New Orleans Saints' roster and stats inside out, just as easily as he could recite his favorite Bible verse: Jeremiah 17:7-8. Mason often spoke of his dream to become an NFL Hall of Famer so he could use his platform to share his faith with the world. His kindness, infectious personality, and unwavering love for others made him unforgettable — a friend to everyone who crossed his path.

A Selfless Decision
Mason's desire to help others extended beyond his time on earth. Six months before his accident, Mason asked his mother about organ donation after noticing the red heart symbol on her driver's license. Unbeknownst to his family, Mason had also shared this wish with a teacher after learning about a staff member who had received a liver transplant. At the end of 2023, Mason quietly registered as an organ donor while applying for his hunting license. His parents only discovered this after agreeing to donation at the hospital — a powerful confirmation that they were honoring Mason's own decision.

The Meaning of Donation
Mason's family prayed for a miracle during his time in the hospital. While their prayers weren't answered in the way they had hoped, Mason's organ donation became a powerful miracle in its own right. His gift saved five lives, restored sight to two people, and enhanced the lives of many more through tissue donation.

Although nothing can erase the pain of losing Mason, his family finds comfort in knowing that his selflessness continues to make a difference. Mason's legacy lives on — through the lives he saved, the hearts he touched, and the love he so freely gave. His story is a testament to faith, hope, and the incredible impact one life can have on the world.
